Little know fact: I love receiving cards in the mail… and I love sending them. It’s like a little present in your mailbox. Someone thought of you and took the time, wrote a note and put a stamp on it. What a lovely little gesture that says so much – I care, I appreciate you, and thanks. One year for my birthday a friend of mine (who has yet to fess up to it) sent out an email to a bunch of my friends reminding them that my birthday was coming up in the next couple weeks and asking them to drop a card in the mail…and this is what happened…
I think in total I received over 20 birthday cards that year!! Let’s just saw it was a pretty awesome birthday!
As a service to my own clients I offer photo thank you cards and Christmas cards, baby announcements … just about anything you can dream up! I know that for couples who have recently gotten married the task of writing thank you cards seems a bit (or maybe a lot) daunting. So many cards … so many addresses. I encourage all of you instead to think about how happy the people who receive those cards will be. The fact that you took the time and wrote them a note is always appreciated. Here’s a photo of the card that Kaley & Aaron sent out to their guests this past year.

And this morning, I came across a blog entry called ‘5 Tips for Wedding Thank You Cards’ – a great little read for brides and grooms – Thanks Emmaline Bride!.
So in short I encourage all of you too keep up the ‘art’ of sending handwritten cards… for any occasion! You can guarantee it will be the highlight of someone’s day when they find it in their mailbox!

I hardly know where to begin with this post…. Jeff & Leah had such an awesome wedding. They are such great people … and Jeff also happens to be my cousin, which made this day even more fun! Jeff & Leah started dating some 8-ish years ago when they were both in high school. The stayed to gather all the way though university and got engaged almost 3 years ago before heading off to Australia to finish their degrees

Jeff & Leah… thank you so very much for giving me the honour of capturing your wedding. Truly a great day! I wish you much love an happiness for many years to come!!
I absolutely loved this bracelet… give to Ali the day before her wedding by her future mother-in-law, which was give to her for her wedding by her mother in-law which was give to her for her wedding… 66 years ago to the day of Jim and Alison’s. Isn’t that amazing. It’s hand carved coral and I was absolutely terrified to touch it! So beautiful.
And then we were off on a little road trip to find some photo locations. I drove by this field of white flowers on my way to Bayfield and absolutely fell in love. Isn’t it gorgeous!
