Bio

Who am I…… it’s hard to know where to begin.  I have many loves in life, my husband and children, playing piano, reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, card making, singing…. the list goes on and on….. did I mention I love taking photos?

I’m a fun, energetic, outgoing person. I love to try new things and am always up for an adventure.  I work hard and always strive to put out my best effort.

I love love love weddings. I have so much fun capturing all the little moments and details that are so easily forgotten after the celebration has come to a close. There is nothing more amazing to me that watching a groom’s eyes light up as he see’s his bride coming down the aisle. Or having a couple look through their photos and watch the memories come back from the blur of their wedding day.

My photography skills are mostly self taught. I took a couple of night school classes at Fanshawe college and worked for a year as an assistant before stricking out on my own in 2004.  My first season I shot 3 solo weddings… this year I think I’m going to top 30. It’s been a blur getting from there to here. The time goes so fast and I love every minute of it.

I shoot with all Nikon gear.My main body is a D700, I also have a D300 and several lenses and flashes that are my standard gear.  I do almost all of my editing in Adobe Lightroom and once in a while in Photoshop. I love a variety of images and always try to make sure that each wedding has some fun relaxed shots as well as the classics that will last a lifetime.  If you have any questions or comments I’d love to hear from you!

Hi sandra
I was wondering if you offer and classes or no of someone locally who might. I know Casey Lesard use to, but i believe he has moved to England. Your photos are beautiful by the way, so any info would be helpful, thanks Sandra.
